Don’t let the cutesy label fool you, this is seriously outstanding sake. It is somewhat on the sweet side, with lots of lactic and cereal aromas, but is counterbalanced by great tanginess and grippiness. While it’s a favorite of many a sake drinker, it might not be the ideal choice for those new to the world of sake. Choose this if you’d like to dip your toes into something experimental.

Fresh and vivacious with a rebellious edge and robust structure. A diverse, complex, pronounced flavor profile including notes of almond, cherry, bubblegum, lemongrass, chestnut, oak, grape, cedar and mint and many more. With every sip, this sake delivers something new. Sweet notes of brown sugar and honey on the palate are balanced by a tangy astringency and tart acidity. The finish is long and overflowing with umami.

Brewery Story

Sake to Celebrate
The name Fukuiwai's two Japanese characters stand for 'fortune' and 'celebration', and their sakes are designed to be reflective of that. Made to be easy to pair with food and having a good balance of aroma and taste, they are both unique and approachable and ideal for a 'celebration'. As this sake is not pasteurized, this sake excels with a unique freshness on the palate and an aromatic nose.
