A gentle and approachable Junmai with slightly more flavor and structure than the typical "light and dry" (tanrei karakuchi) style of Niigata. A refreshing aftertaste rounds out this pleasant sake. Fits well with food.

Brewery Story

A True Family Business
Niigata's sake is famously known for it's 'light and dry' style of sake, which was most popular in the 1990s. While certainly delicious, this leads some sakes to lack a bit of texture and character. We find Hasegawa Shuzo's sakes to be a perfect mix. They retain the lightness and approachability of Niigata sake while providing a bit more character and uniqueness. Beautiful labels designed by local artists don't hurt either.
